A Salvation Army Officer of the Australia Southern Territory, I served along with my wife as Corps Officers (ministers) for five years in the Eastern Victoria Division before being appointed to the staff of the Officer Training College located in Tokyo, Japan from January 2012.
The concept of Life as being like a journey, resonates with my understanding of the spiritual life. More than just being concerned with the relationship between an origin and its corresponding destination, it is in the journey of life, those moments along the way, that often the greatest personal growth and spiritual development can, and indeed does, take place.
I don’t profess to be an authority on any particular aspect of the spiritual life or of the Christian faith in general, however in sharing something of my own experiences and observations of life and ministry in this way, my hope is that others might be encouraged to embrace the journey of life with new meaning.
